Friday Quotes #2

Friday Quotes is a weekly post, in which I quote some lines of a tv show I like.

Stiles: You know who else is a virgin? Me, I’m a virgin and you know what that means. It means that my lack of sexual experience is now literally a threat to my life. I need to have sex – like right now. Someone needs to have sex with me – like today. Someone needs to sex me right now.
Teen Wolf Season 3a, sorry guys, don’t remember the actual episode

[Review] Want Me by Cynthia Eden

Book provided by Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Synopsis: Sophie Sarantos has a weakness for dangerous men. She doesn’t like safe lovers—she likes men with a wild, rough edge. But Sophie may have attracted a lover who is too dangerous, even for her. Someone is stalking Sophie, slipping into her home, watching her day and night. The stranger seems to know all of Sophie’s darkest secrets, secrets that should never be revealed.
Out of options, Sophie turns to ex-solider Lex Jensen for protection. Lex is part owner of VJS Protection, Inc., and Sophie hires him as her bodyguard. She thinks Lex is one of the “good guys” out there, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
Lex has his own secrets. Dark, deadly secrets. And as his feelings for Sophie grow, Lex knows that he is going to have to stop pretending to be a gentleman and, instead, he’ll have to show Sophie who he really is. A man trained to kill. A man too used to evil. A man who will take any risk…as long as he can claim Sophie.
Because there is one thing that Lex wants in this world…one person he desires above all others…Sophie. And no one will hurt her, not on his watch.

Some Updates

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I’m currently pretty stressed out. School and work are taking all of my time away, so I will change some stuff here on my blog.

All the memes will remain. Some I might not take place in every week, but I will try.

The one big change will be about the reviews. They won’t be any longer on thursday or sunday. I will now publish them whenever I had time to write one. Also they will probably be a little shorter than before (yeay, yeay, there weren’t long to begin with).

I hope that once school and work are not so demanding, I will be able to go back to my old schedule.

I hope you can forgive me.

Friday Quotes #1

You might know this or not, but I’m a big fan of tv shows, so I decided to do this new segment where I’m going to quote a few lines from a show I’ve just watched. That doesn’t mean that the show was just recently in television. Could be that I’m going to quote Buffy or Dark Angel or something like that and those shows are not “new”. And yes, I’m going to force my favourite tv shows upon you. So be aware 😉
Just have to come up with a better name for this. Any suggestions?

Today’s quote:

Hook: “Swan?”
Emma: “Hook.”
Hook: “What the hell are you doing? You’re depriving me of a dashing rescue.”
Emma: “Sorry, the only one that saves me is me.”
Once Upon A Time 03×22

What do you think of this? Should I make it a weekly thing or is this a waste of my time?

[Review] Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This will only be a really short review, because this was a short story 😉 – only 74 pages.

Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.
Even if it means making war against the gods.

Cliffhanger: Yes
HEA/Happy End: No 😦

Rating: 4 Stars ✶ ✶ ✶ ✶

[Review] Night Shift (Short Story Collection)

Maybe you noticed but I’m a huge fan of short story collection. You get to know a lot of new, different authors. Some you might like and others you don’t.
With Night Shift I knew from the start that I would get at least 2 stories that I would love.

Nalini Singh: Secrets At Midnight ~ 5 stars:
I don’t know if I have already mentioned this, but her last two books weren’t that good to me. I still really liked them, but I did not LOVE them. With Secrets At Midnight Nalini convinced me that she can still make me love her books. I loved Bastian since his first appearance but I also fell immediately in love with Kirby. I love her character and her wit, also I love in what she change 😉 that’s kinda cute. They were really adorable together.

Ilona Andrews – Magic Steals ~ 5 stars
I thought that Secrets at Midnight would be my favourite, but I was wrong. Magic Steals is the best one out of the four. I never noticed till now, but Dali is kinda awesome and Jim is just adorable. The interaction between those two is so funny to read (Dali hid Jim in a closet). I laughed out loud a lot of times.

Lisa Shearin: Lucky Charms ~ 3,5 stars
This was not as good as Secrets at Midnight or Magic Steals, but I was still entertained. I liked the writing style, but I was kind of disappointed by the heroine. She was this stereotype of girl / woman. I’m not sure if I will try the first installment in this series.

Milla Vane: The Beast of Blackmoor ~ Did Not Read
I have no opinion for this, because I haven’t read one page.

[Review] Saving Elliot by NorthbyNorth

Synposis: Meet Elliot Jensen; she’s stubborn, intelligent, sarcastic, short-tempered and ambitious. Meet Elliot Fintry, he’s impulsive, rude, cold, devious, and reckless.
It might be annoying having to share the same name as the person you hate, but it’s even more annoying having to share the same house as them. He’s everything she hates, so why does he make her heart pound at just the thought of him?
Winter and summer. Fire and water. North and south. Heaven and hell. This isn’t a love story, this is a story about love.
