Synpsis: When it comes to sex, good girl Skyler Thompson always plays it safe, choosing stable and sedate over wild and thrilling. She doesn’t do one-night-stands, but one look at sinfully sexy Gage Holt and she’s willing to reconsider. He makes her want to be bad for once in her life, and she’s prepared to take what she wants.
Danger follows former MMA fighter Gage Holt like a shadow. Despite his successes as part owner of Sin, an exclusive nightclub in Boston, Gage can’t risk getting involved with a woman, especially one as sweet as Skyler. Still, he can’t resist a taste—and it’s so damn good he has to see her again.
As addicted as he is to her, Gage knows there’s no future for him and Skyler—not with his past lurking in the dark corners of an MMA cage. But Skylar’s tougher than she looks, and she’s ready to fight for her man.

I got this book for free a while back and only now got around to read it and, man, did I miss out. This book was hot. The chemistry between the main characters was totally intense. The sparks were flying everywhere. I was just hooked to the pages and I normally don’t even like contemporary romance!
The main characters were totally likeable, Skyler and Gage just rocked! Skyler is this woman who usually sticks to the safe and boring type of guys, but when she saw Gage the first time she decided to change that and asked him – after he said no to making out in an alleyway – if he would like to have a casual relationship. So damn brave. I would probably never do that. She’s pretty persistent till he had to say yes. Haha.
And Gage. I love me an ex-MMA-fighter, totally hot. And even though he said he can only do casual because he isn’t the typ of guy who is made for a relationship, he still he tries to play the gentleman – by pushing her away. Because he thinks she is too nice for him and he would pull her down into his darkness. Did I mention he loves to talk dirty? No? He does, totally hot.
These two just fit perfectly together. But the scene before the end, I get it, but why the extra drama? I loved it, but still… it was kinda unnecessary.
Also I loved his friend with whom he is running a night club. He’s head of security btw. They were totally smartasses (loved it), but still quite likeable. Hope they get their HEA soon, too.
The one thing I’m really complaining about is the length of this book / novella. Totally too short! Good thing that the next book in series is a full-length novel (and I already bought it). Also I’m complaining about the cover, I have nothing against half-naked people on covers, but somehow I don’t like this one – at all.
