Forget Me Always

All warfare is deception. Even in high school.
It’s been nineteen days since Isis Blake forgot about him. The boy she can’t quite remember. She’s stuck in the hospital with a turban-size bandage on her head, more Jell-o than a human being should ever face, and a tiny bit of localized amnesia. Her only goal? To get out of this place before she becomes a complete nutjob herself.
But as Isis’s memories start to return, she realizes there’s something important there at the edges of her mind. Something that may mean the difference between life and death. Something about Sophia, Jack’s girlfriend.
Jack Hunter—the “Ice Prince”—remembers everything. Remembers Isis’s purple hair and her smart-ass mouth. Remembers that for a little while, Isis made him feel human. She made him feel. She burned a hole in the ice…and it’s time to freeze back up. Boys like him don’t deserve girls like her. Because Jack is dangerous. And that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening.
Previously published as Savage Delight, this fully revised and updated edition is full of hilarity, drama, and heartbreak.
I don’t know what it is about this book and series, but whenever I get the chance to have the next installment in my hands, I end up being hooked to it and won’t put it away till I finished. The same went down with Forget Me Always.
Even though Isis lost her memory in the first part of the book, she still was as sarcastic and funny as in the first book. I love her antics and her POV. Sometimes her thoughts were a bit annoying, but I forgive her.
Then there is Jack, he is still the ice prince, but I loved the chapters out of his POV. You could see that even though he tries not to he still feels a lot for Isis.
Those two together were just as combustible as in the first book. Their arguments were way too funny and ridiculous. Some scenes I hope that they would finally put aside the little war they had, but then again it was entertaining. I wanted them to kiss though, didn’t happen, but at least I got the cute hotel scene. I love when they comfort each other.
The one thing I hated about the book though – ok, maybe “hate” is too strong of a word, but I wasn’t happy with it – was the damn cliffhanger. Why?!?! I want to know how the story continues and can’t deal with this end. I knew that twist would happen, because all the signs were there, but I still hoped for a different solution. Now I guess I have to wait for book #3, which will come out spring 2017? (I hope) Please don’t make me wait too long.
