[Review] Blood Wolf Dawning by Rhyannon Byrd

Synopsis: If this was what falling for someone did to a person—what craving them felt like—then Sayre Murphy wanted no part of it…
Ever. She might be young and inexperienced, but she was a woman. And she had finally had enough! Cian Hennessey might be the most magnificent, infuriating, arrogant male she had ever known. But the tall Bloodrunner treated her as if she were nothing more than a child, making it painfully clear that despite whatever connection they shared, he’d never see her as an adult female. After disappearing from her life for five years, the werewolf was back, claiming that she was in serious danger and must drop everything to go with him immediately.
Cian was as deadly as he was beautiful. But the young witch knew he would never cause her physical harm. The safety of her heart, however, was a different matter…

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Read In 2014 12/16/14

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke And Bookish.
For future Top Ten Tuesday topics & info on how to participate, click here!

I saw a lot of people do this meme, so I wanted to give a try too. This weeks theme is: Top Ten Books I Read In 2014

Night Unbound by Dianne Duvall: You might already know this, but I’m totally in love with this series. I want the new one now and the novella, too.
Archangel’s Shadows by Nalini Singh: I’m glad that this book did not feature Elena and Raphael again, because I like the other characters way more and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Mine To Have by Cynthia Eden: This was the first book of the Mine-series that I ever read and now I’m thinking about reading the whole series.
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout: This was the best freebie I ever read and I don’t regret reading it and the other ones.
White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout: I was “forced” to read it and I loved it as well. JLA just knows how to write interesting stuff.
Shield Of Winter by Nalini Singh: I was kind of disappointed by this one. Not because it was bad – it wasn’t! – just because I miss this “I was blown away”-feeling I used to get whenever I read a Singh book.
Written In Red by Anne Bishop: I liked the world building and the concept of blood prophets.
My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent: I had this book for years and only this year I made myself read it. I could hit myself for not reading it earlier.
Touch Of Seduction by Rhyannon Byrd: The one book in the series that I like. Thankfully you don’t need to read the others.
Dark Wolf Returning by Rhyannon Bryd: Like always it was fun to read a book of this series and I’m really looking forward to Cian’s book (I’m obsessed with him)

[Review] Touch of Seduction by Rhyannon Byrd

Synopsis: Sold into slavery as a child to a cruel taskmaster, tiger-shifter Aiden Shrader trusts no one. Not even his own kind. Yet as a member of the Watchmen—the organization of shape-shifters who keep watch over the ancient nonhuman races—Aiden is fiercely protective of the helpless. Never more so than when he’s asked to guard a little girl with witches’ blood—and her beautiful human aunt. A woman who arouses all of Aiden’s primal urges…urges he must resist.
To small-town schoolteacher Olivia Harcourt, the massive tiger-shifter with the glowing amber eyes is as much a dark mystery as the enemy stalking her. Yet Aiden is her only hope of surviving. Until their intense passion unleashes her own inner tigress with a ferocity that will make the evil Casus rue the day they messed with her family…and will take Aiden by seductive surprise.

Teaser Tuesday #12

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly book event, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Want to participate too ? Here are the rules:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Randomly open a page.
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today I have two teaser. Both books I already read a while back, but I’m rereading them. I have no idea what book I should read next, not because I don’t have enough books on my tbr list, just because I’m kinda sick of always being disappointed by new authors 😦 I think I have the reading blues 😦

Olivia had meant to tell Aidan she wouldn’t need all their luggage, but by the time she’d recovered from hearing those low words on the Watchman’s lips, he’d already paid for a suite, tucked Jamie up in the room’s king-size bed and headed back out the door. Jamie was snuggled into her pillow, half-asleep, so Olivia found the bathroom and quickly splashed some water on her face, while silently lecturing herself for being such an emotional sap.

“It means I can talk to certain… animals.”
“Uh, just what kind of animals?” The captain smiled his shark smile once again. “Come with me for a walk sometime, Detective, and I’ll be happy to show you.”

“Waiting on” Wednesday #2

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week I’m waiting for:

Blood Wolf Dawning by Rhyannon Byrd

Publication Date: January 01, 2015

Blurb: If this was what falling for someone did to a person—what craving them felt like—then Sayre Murphy wanted no part of it…

I’m not sure I like the five year timegap, because I kind of wanted Sayre to pull a Sienna on Cian (did you got the reference? 😉 ).
Yeah, well, I can’t change it, so I have to be patient to find out how the story turns out.
Or not, because

What are you waiting for this wednesday?

Feel free to correct any mistakes I made.

Teaser Tuesday #3

A laughing Max quickly came into the living room. “You guys aren’t going to believe this, but Sayre just threw her plate at Cian’s head!”
– Dark Wolf Running (Bloodrunners #5) von Rhyannon Byrd, Kindle-Position 1347, Seite 108, Dezember 2013

Deutsch:

Englisch:
The story is about the Runners, who are half werwolf and half human and who are not treated nicely in their pack and they are only good in getting rid of enemies and insane werwolves, at least that’s what the pack thinks.
This book tells the story of Wyatt, of the Runners, and Elise, a fullblooded werwolf.
I like the book so far.
