Review Policy

~ General information ~

I accept print ARCs, finished copies, and ebooks (in the .mobi-format). If the book is a part of a series, then I may need the previous books.

I am NOT accepting self-published books or indie press books at the moment Review requests for these books will not receive a reply.
You can still write me though, maybe I will change my mind, if your book sounds promising.

~ Genres ~

I accept Adult, YA and NA fiction in the following genres:

• Paranormal
• Romance
• Fantasy
• Fairy tale/myth retellings
• Mystery
• Contemporary
• Short story compilations

I am NOT accepting books in the following genres:

• Non-fiction
• Biographies
• Books without a possible Happily Ever After
• Extremely political or “hot button” topics
• Poetry
• Free verse novels
• Overtly preachy religious fiction

 ~ Accepting Books ~

If I accept a book for review, that does not guarantee a review.

I will make every effort to read and review in a timely fashion and with regard to release dates, but I cannot guarantee this. I prefer to receive a book 2-3 months prior to when you would like the review posted.

Please note: I schedule my posts weeks in advance.

~ Reviews ~

My reviews are written in a relaxed manner and are basically reflecting what I would tell my friends. They are not meant to be objective.

I write fair and honest reviews, but I cannot promise a positive review, since my reviews are my opinion, and if I don’t enjoy a book then my review will reflect that.

With that said, I try to explain as good as possible why the book in question did not work for me personally. I do NOT write mean comments about the author.

If I do not finish a book I may write an explanation for DNF-ing. These explanations are different from standard reviews and will state that I did not finish the book, what page or percentage I read up to, why I did not finish, and if I plan on ever picking up the book again.

Please include in your request:

• The title and author of the book
• The Synopsis
• At least the first (and second) chapter of the book
• How you would like to provide the book to me (print, ebook?)

How I Rate:

~ 5 stars: I LOVED this and definitely recommend it
~ 4 stars: I really liked the book, it had some flaws, but I would recommend it
~ 3 stars: I did like and disliked it in equal parts. I would recommend it, if it’s your genre
~ 2 stars: God no, it was terrible
~ 1 star: I hated it so much.
~ DNF: Time I could have used for something better
