It’s a reunion to remember…

Don’t miss this friends-to-lovers hockey romance from Avon Gale and Piper Vaughn.

Daniel “Bellzie” Bellamy should be on top of the world—a Stanley Cup is the perfect topper to his fourteen-year NHL career. But despite the post-win high, something’s missing. When the chance to play for his hometown team, the Miami Thunder, comes along, he’s open to it. And when he runs into an old friend from his past soon after he makes the move, he wonders if it might be kismet.

Micah Kelly never thought he’d see his childhood crush—and first kiss—again. Danny Bellamy moved on to bigger and better things when they were teenagers, and the idea that Micah’s relationship with the professional hockey player could be anything more than one-sided Instagram thirst seems too good to be true.

Maybe too good to be true is the new reality, though. As the season goes on, Micah teaches Daniel to surf, and Daniel introduces Micah to his lovable pack of rescue dogs and the world of being a hockey boyfriend. Life is good. But when things on the ice don’t go as planned, they’ll have to decide if their rediscovered romance is built to last.

review

It took me a very long time to finally pick this up because I had this weird phase were ice hockey romances were just too repetitive for me and I usually love those romances.

When I finally picked Trade Deadline up, I read it in one go and I liked it. I didn’t love it but I liked it.

I especially liked the open conversation between Micah and Daniel, that doesn’t happen that often in the books I usually read. It was a refreshing change. Also this was super low angst in my opinion and barely has any conflict between the two protagonists.

It was a good read for chilling on the couch. If you are looking for something highly emotional and tear-jerking this book is not it for you but it was overall a nice and comfy book to enjoy.

Darkest Sinner by Rachel Van Dyken

When I started Darkest Sinner I wasn’t sure what to expect, because I didn’t really have an opinion on Timber, but now after finishing this book in one sitting, I can wholeheartly say that I was thoroughly entertained and I’m quite curious about the next book. At least I hope there will be a next one, seeing as we now have this particular person around (can’t tell you the name because then I would spoil your fun, which I won’t do lol)

Goalie Interference by Avon Gale & Piper Vaughn

When I picked up Goalie Interference I was afraid that it would be to similar to my previous read (Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid), so I thought about reading something else first but my curiousity got the better of me and the two things those books had in common were the enemies-to-lovers and ice hockey theme, otherwise they were totally different, so there’s that.

I really liked Goalie Interference, I read it at the airport and on my flight. It was an awesome travel companion. Ryu and Emmitt were a lot of fun together, I really liked their dynamics.

Also I can’t wait for the next – and sadly last – book in this series.
